I need to have twenty new reviewers join my team in the next 48 hours! I have a new cozy mystery coming out on the 12th and I want reviewers to be able to send in reviews to Amazon and Goodreads meaning I need to get you a free copy to do so. To be a reviewer, however, and in acceptance of Amazon's new rules, you must have the following attributes;

b) agree to receive books to review by ebook. I don't send out paperbacks for reviews; it's a digital download through book funnel. That means I need your OK to send it.

c) according to Amazon's rules (not mine), you must be an Amazon customer who has spent at least $50 on Amazon on anything within the last 12 months-they won't publish reviews from anyone who is not a customer anymore. They claim this is to weed out illegal reviews. I don't know. It has caused me to have to drop several perfectly good reviewers because they aren't Amazon customers and don't have an Amazon account so the reviews they sent in weren't published. They don't mind you getting a free book and dropping a review as long as you have "an active account in good standing" which, when I asked, meant you had to have bought anything from them in the last 12 months-and it doesn't even have had to be a book! Isn't that strange? Anyway, you have to have that account to get it published.

d) You must promise to write a review within 10 days of receiving the book. I will try to give you 2 weeks' lead time as much as I can. I'd like to have 100 reviewers.

Once you have downloaded your book, send me a quick email- (just say 'got it' or something like that), and then go enjoy your book.

e) let me know when you have sent your review in-it takes 72 hours for Amazon to approve and show them.

Arc readers get free books in exchange for a review, access to them before they are published, freebies, and prizes along the way among other things.

If you have been an ARC reader before and you have not been sending in reviews, that may be one of the reasons you need to rethink this; the list has been checked over to see who has and hasn't been actually sending in reviews and those who haven't have been put on the inactive list. If you want to receive books again, let me know. They aren't just sent out to anyone. Newly published books won't be set up as a short-time free download for three months, if you're an ARC reader, you get the first in exchange for a review. The review triggers the ability to get the next book, or one of the past ones if you look on my catalog and want to read it for a review-there are over 40 to choose from now!
