My wayfarers, journeymen and Voyagers!

I have been sending emails to you from a new company and hope you recognize it-; it generally has Wayfarers, journeymen and Voyagers in the heading line to you-I am sending you a copy of what you can expect them to look like. This weeks looked like this:
A little humor to start this off because after all those downed limbs to pick up and puddles the size of frog ponds, we need it! With apologies to those who are serous about poetry:
Haiku Computer Errors
Yesterday it worked.
Today is not working.
Windows is like that.
Your file was so big.
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.
Program aborting.
Close all that you have worked on.
You ask far too much.
Windows NT crashed.
I am the Blue Screen of Death.
No one hears your screams.
Three things are certain:
Death, Taxes and lost data.
Guess which has occurred.
There! Now I feel better-the chipper is running overtime outside with an cleaning up the yard.
Our Life Comments:
Journeymen,
It’s been a busy week and about to get busier. Thursday Dan and I go to Cleveland to take part in a brain study-not to see if they exist in these old heads, but as part of research into Alzheimer’s. We hope to have a tiny part in helping eradicate the disease by being part of the study. We’ll be having a sleep study, MRI, ECG, EKG, blood work, fill out huge questionnaires, and several more things all within 24 hours. I suspect top be exhausted but for a good cause. I’ll let you know how it goes next week.
The puppies are weaning and hard to think we’ll be sending them to new homes the first week of May. Such sweet little things-Pomeranians are normally under 10 pounds, most much smaller, and they are such energetic little guys. I have to admit a couple are my favorites, however, they all need to go to new homes.
The Eden garden is progressing nicely. This last storm didn’t hurt it a bit. Dan got the security lamps up this week-for the four-legged kind of beast. There are so many rabbits and deer; with the motion detectors, the lights flash on bright and we hope will run them off. Of course, Dan’s planning on sleeping in the garden as well with a paint gun to scare any that are stupid enough to come in. Dan, the intrepid gardener, will protect the Okra…

Handy tip of the week:
If you drink it, save your coffee grounds and use them in your garden. They deter slugs, they are rich in trace minerals, and they’re free.
Cayenne pepper won’t hurt your plants but it does deter garden pests; just get some inexpensive from the dollar store, and sprinkle it liberally over anything that might be attractive to bunnies, possums, or the like. Deer can be deterred by using shredded up original Irish Springs soap. They hate the smell. Happy gardening!
