We had a Storm! What a storm!

We are just too cool for words!
Knox County had a humdinger of a storm Monday night - trees down everywhere, power out, and power is not totally restored yet to sixty thousand residents; crews are working around the clock. My daughter's electricity went out so she brought her beta fish, dog, bunny, and parrot here; Giz and Baxter honestly don't like each other very much. They did the version of power screaming across two rooms to get all the parrot insults in for the first hour or so. Good thing I don't have close neighbors! Fawn and Scott slept here last night-their house without air or power was just too hot-they even moved their chest freezer over to sit in our garage so they didn't lose all their food(especially Scott's venison). But they got power back this a.m. and all their stuff is home again. Violet is at her aunt Val's for the night after a hard day of keeping great-grandma and grandpa busy caring for her, giving her new toys, and in general running the household for eight hours. It was exhausting and she had to take two naps to stay on her toes. Tomorrow she and we head out for the powwow, a chance to rejuvenate mind and body, meet old friends, dance, and exchange news and stories. Tuesday my office had no power, so I came home, where the power had not crashed, and called all my clients and did teletherapy; which left the rest of my time free to complete packing the RV for the trip to the powwow.
Packing an RV with the help of a seven-month-old is an experience you really ought to try at least once in your life, if only to be thankful when you won't ever do it again. Between the usual feedings, diapers, and keeping her amused, we got the food, clothes, craft items, and books packed to sell at the vendor's booth under our awning, the RV is pretty well packed to go. We leave early tomorrow for the three and half hour trip to northeastern Ohio. (Scott packed bleached bones, a deer head, antlers, beaded necklaces, and handmade dance fans. He's really energetic, that man.)
But before I head off for a well-deserved shower and tall glass of lemonade, I wanted to remind you (Since I won't be back until the 20th)
Uncle James, A Servant of God to Us, will be just 99 cents from June 19 to 26. That's $3.00 off-so add the three downloads up and you have saved seven dollars by getting all three, which will pay for a gallon of gas at this point-don't tell me I don't love you! I hope you got the other two specials for June and are having a great time reading them. Have a great June!
