New novel in time for LibertyCon!

image

My new novel, As My Witnesses, co-written with Robert Hampson and Sandra Medlock, is here right in time for LibertyCon, which is where I'll be in a couple of weekends!

It was at this convention in 2019 where I got my real start as a writer. At the time, I had but one short story to my name--"Croatoans", which is the start to my contribution to As My Witnesses.

But it was the discussions I had with other writers and Chris Kennedy in particular that set me on the path to being a published writer. Now, here I am with five books published, fifteen short stories, with one more of each in editing and plenty more to come.

Back to As My Witnesses, it's already #2 in Action/Adventure new releases!image

Azure Colony avoided the larger conflicts of the Omega War and Guild Wars, only to fall prey to rogue mercenaries. Now they’re rebuilding, but strange forces are at work. New friends on the ground and mysterious lights in the sky promise “interesting times” for the Humans and hyper-intelligent Wrogul of Azure.

Meanwhile, mercenary leader Verne and Peacemaker Harryhausen resume their search for the ancestral home of Azure’s Wrogul. They encounter distrust, deceit, and misdirection from the all-powerful guilds, but they manage to learn of sightings of Wrogul-like aliens. Their strongest lead takes them to a forgotten system where a lost Human colony coexists with a strange alien race with remarkable similarities to the Wrogul.

But when they find the colony is in the middle of a civil war, they’re forced to make a choice—do they choose sides or stand by while the colonists slaughter each other?

Our competition in the action/adventure new release category, more tales of Abner Fortis!

When diplomacy fails, send in the Space Marines!

The Maltaani home world has been plunged into civil war. The anti-human nationalists have driven the royalists out of power and forced the government into exile aboard a Maltaani fleet orbiting the planet.

On Terra Earth, war fever grips the populace. Opportunistic politicians and war profiteers manipulate public opinion to demand the United Nations of Terra get involved. It’s a war everyone wants, and it’s a war everyone will get.

Brevet Captain Abner Fortis takes command of Tango Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Regiment—Tango 2/2—just in time to join the fight. Tango 2/2 is a reconnaissance company, and their mission is to lead the way for the invasion force. The entire fighting force of the ISMC—nine divisions, forty-five thousand Space Marines—is depending on Fortis and Tango Company to succeed in the face of overwhelming odds. It’s a risky strategy, but if they can do it, the payoff is nothing less than the liberation of the Maltaani from their nationalist oppressors.

Fortis is reunited with his trusted comrade and Space Marine extraordinaire, Gunnery Sergeant Petr Ystremski. Together, they lead Tango Two Two on an increasingly desperate gambit as the invasion stalls, and they’re stranded behind enemy lines. With no good options, they do what Space Marines always do—pick a bad one and execute. After all, they’re paid to do it, not like it. There can be no failure. Win… or die.

Another great new release from Chris Kennedy Publishing!

It’s 2076, and the Earth is trying to kill us. Seasons mean little as deadly storms occur daily, killing tens of thousands. Famine and drought plague entire continents, leaving most hopeless and lost.

Yet, some nations still exist, and they’ve bet the future of humanity on developing faster than light travel and fleeing to New Eden, a garden world a hundred light years away. In pursuit of this, the Ladder, a space elevator, has been constructed and an Artificial Intelligence—an AI—controls the bodies of volunteers as they perform mundane tasks, all for a chance at a home on New Eden.

Sarah Martinez is one such woman. She wants nothing more than to be on the first ship to the stars. And she’ll do anything to get there, even sacrifice her identity and safety under the control of the AI.

But when a chance encounter exposes a conspiracy that threatens the future of humanity, Sarah must decide whether saving herself is worth abandoning everyone and everything she cares about.

The ships are boarding for New Eden, but whether the planet will be humanity’s hope or its worst nightmare is based solely on her.
