I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! I know I did. We visited some friends, some family visited us, and a good time was had by all.
Anyway, I've got some exciting new release news and some status updates on writing projects, but first....
Some happy news- These Things We Do went over 100 reviews! That's right, double unicorn! Though I have yet to receive my unicorn for passing 50. It must be in the mail. Thank you to everyone who's thought fit to review it! And an extra special thank you to those who plan to review it in the future. You're all awesome!
Next, I'm proud to report Unshackled (working title), my collaboration with the talented Jamie Ibson, has been sent along to the alpha readers. It's the story of Bull's moon, now named Tambu, where things have been quiet for decades. Ruxandra Roxtador, the Pushtal who's done it all, serves as the steward of the quiet little weapons factory and secret base of Bull's company. It's run so well she's not quite sure why she's even there.
However, when a massive force appears in the system seeking lost treasures, Ruxandra finally finds the fight she's been itching for. When they employ a strange and horrifying assault force, will it be more than she can handle?
For those who are holding their breath for it, Mess With the Bull is with the publisher, release date is pending. As I've mentioned before, Bull faces one of his greatest challenges when he comes face to face with the shadow that's followed him since the beginning.
From Three Ravens Publishing, my novel Witch Hunt, set in the JTF-13 universe during the Civil War, is second in the release line up as the series spools back up. Follow the re-creation of a monster hunting unit of Marines as they trek their way down the coast in support of the Union blockade and chase supernatural forces that threaten the war. Stand by for that release date as well.
So, that's three, count 'em, three novels that should be out within the next few months. I hope y'all enjoy them.
Now, if you can't wait that long, here's the super exciting news.
In The Wings, the next Four Horsemen Universe anthology, releases this Friday, 9 July!
Among some really incredible stories, such as the tale of a young soon-to-be mercenary whose name I won't spoil, you will find a new story by me.
"The Audition" tells the tale of Archie, a washed up female dropship pilot, who's down on her luck and out of options. Drunk at a bar, a Besquith approaches and starts getting clawsy. While working out how to deal with the lusty beast, she recalls the events that led to her situation. It's quite a roller coaster, if I do say so myself.
Get that story and more on Friday!
That's all for now. I'll pass more news as it comes.
