Hey !!!
Welcome to the first ever Sundary Surprise newsletter, produced in total social isolation. Thanks for signing up and hope this offers some surprising tid bits for the end of your weekend!
If you find this remotely useful/entertaining or chuckleworthy, maybe send it to a friend to subscribe. It'd help a new newsletter get off the ground!
Care

While everyone is having their normal lives disrupted by Covid-19, the people of Yemen are particularly hard hit. They're in the middle of a war, with an outbreak of cholera, fighting famine and now have also been hit with Covid-19! Everyone's doing it tough at the moment and may not be in a place to be able to contribute, but if you can, maybe donate to MsF so that they can help those that are ill.
There are plenty of other charities as well involved there. GiveWell doesn't seem to be rating them, so here's some others that have been ranked by another organisation.

You may know that BT is my favourite music artisit and no surprise that this is what I'm listening to. This is a collaboration between the man himseld and Matt Fax and the result is something very much closer to mainstream EDM. That's either good or bad depending on your views!

Why outbreaks like coronavirus spread exponentially, and how to “flatten the curve”

I'm going to get back to keeping notes and snippets for this newsletter in the future, but here's one that I absolutely loved that the Washington Post wrote at the beginning of the pandemic. The text and useful graphic models really helped enforce the point of how exponential growth works.
If you're really keen, here's the Mythbusters clip on something related:
Gadget

Ok this one has a weird name AND it's a crowdfunding product, so keep all that in mind! It's a mouse/touchpad/laser that connects over Bluetooth and is fully rechargeable! Was looking for a laser to use to play with the cat and encounter this and ordered. I think given how small it is in the description, I'll keep it in my bag as a back up mouse for travel.
and lastly, since this IS somewhat linked to my Photos x Raffy stuff, some new images from Instagram:
Thanks again for reading and hopefully you found it entertaining. If you were forwarded this, maybe subscribe?
You're awesome!
