Coach ,
Losing your health, relationships and motivation is worse than losing any game. It is time to start winning at what matters most.
I want to share with you some highly effective habits from studying Scott Savor’s 24hr Leader Course.
Scott has worked with NBA, WNBA, collegiate and high school championship coaches, players, and teams teaching simple strategies so that you can win at the most important things every day.
1.) How to go Beast mode to start your day! Scott gets me pumped and ready to conquer the day in this clip below 👇
2.) Prioritize your health.
Rule #1 never be #2. It is time for you to stop prioritizing what is on your schedule and start scheduling your priorities. Your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health is non-negotiable, and it is unfortunate that most people will not care about it until it is too late. Here are two ways to win at your health:
- Learn how to high-intensity strength train. It is the most time-efficient form of strength training on the planet. Do not have enough time to work out? These workouts only need to be performed two times per week and can be accomplished in 30 minutes or less. That is only 2% of your day! No excuses!
- Habit stack. Identify the habits you already do every day. Then, stack/combine the habit you have already mastered (i.e. brushing your teeth, watching tv, making breakfast, etc.) with some form of exercise or activity! This process ultimately saves time and makes each habit more valuable!
3.) Communicate effectively.
Where there is no communication, there are no relationships. Respectfully, most relationships are mediocre at best because effective communication is not popular and rarely rewarded. Always remember, at the end of the day, actions are the loudest form of communication! Here are two ways to win at communication:
- Say to others, “Thanks for listening” when they are truly present and hearing you. Never forget, you must reward the behavior you want repeated! People will give weird looks at first, but it will get their attention and help you be more present too!
- Share sensitive truths. Specifically, make sure when you communicate you are giving people the “sugar” (the positive’s) AND the “hot sauce” (the negatives) right away! If you do not, when it comes time to communicate much needed improvements it will be too much of a surprise and then the receiver will not be able to emotionally digest the essential information.
4.) Stay Motivated.
Your education determines your motivation. The hard truth is that if you do not take education seriously, your motivation suffers greatly. It is imperative that you commit to elevating your education every day so you can go from being limited to limitless! Here are two ways to win at staying motivated:
- List some influential people (dead or alive) who motivate you at a high level and then ask yourself why they motivate you. If you strategically keep these people’s stories in front of you all the time, it will significantly increase your motivation. Try putting the inspirational person’s picture up in your house or use it for a background on your phone to help remember their story more often! You should have their story memorized!
- Select a “merciless friend” for your life. This is someone who does not care about your feelings and only wants you to achieve your goals. This person should hold you accountable to your controllables, no excuses. These types of people are rare and hard to find, but worth it!
