What Your Fellow Coaches Voted 📈 as the Top Player Development Clinic Lectures in 2020-21

As life gets back to normal and things open up around the country, we look back on over a year of virtual learning shared by some of the best coaches across the country.  


We went through and added up and organized who your fellow coaches upvoted as the best basketball clinicians over the past year.


With over 500 clinic talks there was a lot to go through. To help you understand how we picked them were not just by the number of upvotes, but we looked for anomalies that stood out on that day or week. For example, Clinicians who speak early in the week typically have more upvotes than the last day. 



Cody Toppert - Assistant Coach - The University of Memphis - Player Development Masterclass and Progressive Offense

One of the most respected player development coaches revealed his tactics on how he is able to maximize the development of his players and prepare them for the game at the next level. He provides very detailed instructions on how to properly prepare players’ individual skills that they can utilize in any offensive system.

Michael MacKay - Basketball Canada - Developing Your Players 

Canada Basketball’s Mike MacKay goes in-depth on all aspects of developing players of all ages. He introduces concepts that can elevate the way coaches teach the game of basketball, not just from the perspective of skill development, but also mental and social-emotional perspective that helps players to reach their potential. He goes in depth on teaching players the right way to shoot basketball, as well as how to help them adjust to the system that they play in.

Will Rey - Head Coach - Northridge Prep (IL) - Competition-Based Skill Development

Legendary high school coach Will Rey illustrates concepts of developing players in a team setting. He introduces drills that he used with his team to promote a more competitive environment in practice while allowing his players to develop their skills in-game setting. He also explains how to run practices for maximizing the effectiveness and prepare players for championship-level type competition.

Chris Krieder - Assistant Coach - Georgia State University - Coach/Player Development

With over 15 years of experience in college coaching at the Division 1 level, Coach Kreider talks about his journey in the profession and what helps him to connect with his players in the recruiting process and on the court. He brings a unique perspective on the coaching career in college basketball and gives guidance to up and coming coaches who want to break into the profession.

Up and coming Division 1 Head Coach Carmen Maciariello teaches how to utilize proper footwork to boost players’ offensive skill set and promote higher offensive efficiency on the court. He showcases drills he has been using with Siena that helped them win back to back regular-season conference championships.

Coach Schilling shares his player development philosophy and demonstrates multiple drills that can help each player to become more efficient on the offense while maximizing their potential. He addresses all major keys that every serious coach and player needs to address in order to fully develop.

TJ Jones - Player Development Expert - Plan, Prepare and Execute Your Skill Development

Coach TJ Jones is considered as an expert in the player/skill development field. He talks about aspects that affect the overall trajectory of developing players and puts emphasis on doing every single drill with purpose and how to choose what works for each player and what doesn't. He shares his detailed strategy on how to properly design strategy for developing exceptional basketball player

April Schilling - Assistant Coach - Indiana Fever - Player Evaluating System & Skill Development Drills

WNBA Assistant Coach April Schilling teaches her approach on evaluating each player for player development and how to enhance individual skill development that translates to in-game setting.
