Coach Mike Neighbors is one of the most interesting coaches in NCAA basketball. He helped lead the Arkansas Women’s basketball team to the NCAA Tournament once again and is well respected for his ability to teach and share with fellow coaches.

Coach Neighbors has very unique philosophies when it comes to late clock, fouling & other areas of a basketball game.

Here are 3 tactics to make your team better!

#1 - Prevent Opponents from using Two for One’s

A two for one opportunity is a smart play used to get two shots at the end of the half.

Coach Neighbors uses the “milk” philosophy to solidify a team not getting the last shot so a team doesn't get a two for one.

This philosophy can help win basketball games.

#2 - Use Fouls

Coach Neighbors' philosophy is to use fouls to save points.

On a late shot clock, Coach Neighbors believes in using fouls to take away a team getting a good shot.

This could be the difference between winning and losing a basketball game.

#3 - Be Prepared For…

Coach Neighbors believes your definition of a good shot is going to change.

The shot clock runs down – and your mindset on what kind of shot you want changes.

You won't be able to dictate every decision but the shot clock will help dictate what you do.
