Coach ,
According to Synergy Sports, 7 of the top 15 SLOB teams in College Basketball last season advanced in the NCAA Tournament.
This can be a SLOB possession with only 3 seconds on the clock, 0.6 seconds on the clock, or just a normal possession in the midst of the game where a team is looking for a basket.
Here are 3 creative SLOB sets that can help that team get to a championship level.
This SLOB set from Coach Luka Baskin starts with an entry pass right into an Iverson Cut.
The action then gets to a zipper that brings that ball handler up to receive the basketball.
The big that sets the zipper screen then sprints in a pick and roll.
During all this action, the loaded side that has become the weak side, prepares to put the defense in a pickle.
The top guy 45 cuts, while the other player in the corner shakes up.

The Celtics set “3” was one of Coach Stevens favorite SLOB sets.
The “3” means that the play is for Jason Tatum. The set is looking to let Tatum read how he comes off to receive the basketball.
He starts by taking the basketball out of bounds.
After throwing the ball in bounds, Tatum steps in and is met by two different screens.
Tatum then reads the defense and determines which screen to come off of.

The Chicago Bull SLOB Flip Stagger is a very good misdirection set.
The set starts with the ball being inbounded and flipped right back to the inbounder.
As the ball is being dribbled to the split line, there is a stagger being set behind the ball handler.
The ball handler then throws it back for the shot.
