Building Blocks of a Team’s Pick-N-Roll Defense

Coach,

July is the time for quality individual work, and nothing is more important than zeroing in on some key defensive concepts to start preparing my team.

So much to cover on the defensive side of the ball between pick-n-roll, transition defense and good ol’ fashion man-to-man concepts and drills – today I wanted to focus on a few building blocks of a team’s Pick-N-Roll defense.

Here are a few concepts that I like.

Coach Brett Reed of Leigh University discusses how to guard the ball handler in a Pick and Roll situation.

If you are looking for an outstanding course that dives into Pick-N-Roll Coverages, I highly recommend this course by Brandon Chambers.

To your success,
