Starting May 11th โ€” plus a free live event NEXT WEEK.

Hello !

I've got two things for you today, so I'll start with the one that's happening first.

Next Thursday, April 30th, Teddy Smith is joining me to host a free 60-minute workshop called:

How to Launch a Romance Book on Amazon

(even without a big audience...)

๐Ÿ•” 5pm UK / 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacific

If you've ever looked at your tiny-but-mighty email list (or your not-quite-existent social following) and thought "how on earth am I supposed to launch a book with this?" โ€” this one's for you.

Teddy is the founder of My Romance Reads and the Partnerships Lead at Publishing Performance, an AI-powered Amazon Ads platform built for authors.

He's coached over 800 authors through their launches and is the host of The Publishing Performance Show, where he's interviewed over 100 publishing industry names, including Dave Chesson, Joanna Penn, and Kevin J. Anderson.

In this workshop, he'll walk us through:

  • The 4-step Amazon launch plan he uses with romance authors
  • A proven keyword template built specifically for romance categories
  • The "borrow an audience" strategy โ€” and exactly how to use it in practice

Whether you're launching your very first book or relaunching a backlist title you know deserves more love, you'll leave with a clear, actionable roadmap you can put to work right away.

Click here to register โ€” it's free!

If you can't make it live, register and Teddy will send you the replay.

Okay, the second thing โ€” and this one is the big one.

Picture me with a sheepish expression.

My email game has not been great lately. I'm not going to pretend it has. I've been head-down since January building something I'm genuinely excited about, but that's not a great excuse when it means the people I most want to talk toโ€”you!โ€”have been hearing from me less often than I call my mother. (She'd like you to know she's been complaining about this too. Phones go both ways, Mom... just saying...)

Anyway, that changes now. And I mean it this time, because I have an actual plan. Cue the confetti.

๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿฅณ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰

Here's what I've been building.

In 2024, I ran a 12-week program called Passion Project to Published. It was a complete, step-by-step guide to self-publishing your romance novel. Everything from understanding the romance market, to building your author brand, to setting up your Amazon page and planning your launch. It was a premium paid program. Authors who went through it published their first books. Several have published more since.

In 2025, I ran it again.

Both times, the thing that made the difference wasn't the lessons themselvesโ€”it was the support. The live calls. The community. The ability to ask a question at exactly the stuck moment and get a real answer from people who've been there.

But running a 12-week program is exhausting. And the timing isn't always great for folks who are getting ready to indie publish their first romance.

So I made a decision to reimagine, rebuild, and rename the live course as Romance Your Launch, an evergreen course inside Author Ever After (my paid membership) where it will live alongside three live support events every week and a community of early-career romance authors who are doing this work together. Because the program is genuinely better when you're not doing it in isolation.

โฌ†๏ธโฌ†๏ธ All of those authors (and more) went through the program and indie published their first romance novels. Many have published many, many more books since and are still active in the community, helping other authors publish their first romance novels.

Here's what this means for you, even if you're not a member.

Starting mid-May, I'm going to share the entire programโ€”every single lessonโ€”via email and on my blog over the next sixish months. Two to three lessons a week, every week, until we've covered the whole thing from market overview to publishing your book and planning your launch.

You'll get the full lesson in your inbox (or a generous portion of it, with the rest one click away on the blog). No paywalls on the content itself. The lessons are good. Not even just "good enough." I hope to wow ๐Ÿคฉ you with the content.

The one thing the emails won't include? The worksheets. Those live inside the Author Ever After community, along with the small group support calls, the Ask For Help space, and meโ€”available to you exactly when you hit a wall, not just during a 12-week window.

If this sounds like what you've been waiting for, will you let me know?

I'm not asking you to buy anything. I just want to know who's raising their hand to follow along as I revise and share the whole Romance Your Launch program.

If you've been sitting on a romance manuscript (finished or in progress) and thinking I need to figure out this whole publishing thing...

Hit reply and tell me you're in!

Look how happy you'll be once learn what these pre-published-when-they-took-the-program romance authors are, holding their first (and second and third!) romance novels!

P.S. The webinar next Thursday is free and there's no catch. Teddy is genuinely one of the smartest people I've encountered when it comes to Amazon launches for romance authorsโ€”and he doesn't gatekeep the good stuff. Go register. ๐Ÿ™‚
