The UK government has set the world’s most ambitious climate change target into law to reduce emissions by 78% by 2035 compared to 1990 levels, taking the UK more than three-quarters of the way to reaching net zero by 2050.

To address the climate emergency all the UK’s housing stock will have to meet at least EPC Band C by 2030. 71% of UK housing doesn’t yet meet this standard, this includes over 4m social housing units. 80% of 27 million existing domestic properties that will exist in 2050 need to be decarbonised to meet the government's legal Zero Carbon targets.

PAS 2035 is the key over-arching document and should be used in conjunction with PAS 2030 to ensure a sustainable retrofit management from project conception to close-out.
