Peace be upon you,
Stressed About Your Goal(s)?
As a female coach, you might neglect your needs at the expense of others in your life, thereby concluding that you aren't good enough to get the best for your mental health.
Know this and know peace that getting accountability with whatever you're doing is not a selfish act but a crucial component of self-care. Taking care of yourself allows you to be better equipped to help others, otherwise you become unproductive and not useful for people around you.
I remember when I started the journey of building my coaching business. I started without a foundation and you know what happens to a structure without a sound foundation, right?
It crumbles.
I had to retrace my steps and do it the right way by getting a coach and following the path she guides me through. Before then, I used to scramble and dapple into a lot of things that weren't part of the activities to my goals.
The most sucker of life out of me was the SOS - Shiny Object Syndrome. Most of you might know this one because we've all been there. π
The SOS is when you keep looking for the elusive magical solution to your business breakthrough by buying online courses after online courses. Attending workshops after workshops or conferences and seminars after another.
You keep spending more money without achieving anything.
In 2021, I was in a paid mastermind called the League of Achievers where business owners gathered for accountability on scaling their businesses. It was during this period that I wrote my first creative nonfiction book, Beginner's Guide To Fiction Writing which is helping beginner and seasoned writers to write their books with an easy step by step process that gets them to their first draft faster.
Benefits of accountability:
- It helps you to achieve your goals,
- Reduces your stress of going it alone and getting discouraged when you hit a brick wall,
- It can lead to a more fulfilling life where you're able to harness your gift for the betterment of humanity.
- Being in a group accountability gives you a sense of community by creating a supportive community where you can share your experiences and support each other in your efforts to be accountable.
- You're empowered, motivated to do your part when you work in a group and in the process, you discover yourself more.
Which of the above benefits have you encountered as a result of being in an accountability group?
