Day 13
Dec 20, 2023 7:01 am
Hello, Productive .
Establish boundaries with work and personal life to maintain a healthy work-life balance and prevent burnout.
Boundary creates healthy communication with you and others. It tells them what you can and can not accept as a person.
It is important to establish boundaries so that you are not taken for granted or always have the need to explain yourself.
Here are examples of how to create boundaries with work hours and physical space. This is also related to the day 11 task where you created your work timetable. Having your timetable gives you the boundary.
Designate Clear Work Hours.
Decide on specific work hours and communicate them to your colleagues and clients.
For example, you might decide to work from 9 AM to 5 PM. After those hours, avoid checking work emails or taking work calls. This helps create a clear separation between work and personal time.
Create a Physical Boundary.
Designate a specific area in your home as your workspace. When you're in this space, you're "at work," and when you leave it, you're "off work."
This physical boundary helps your brain switch between work mode and relaxation mode more effectively.
Remember, setting boundaries requires consistency and clear communication. It might take some time for others to get used to your new approach, but over time, it will lead to a healthier balance between work and life.
Your task for today is to set your work hours if you haven't and create your workspace that is going to be for work only.
