be on its way to publication as I planned at the beginning of this year. However, that's no longer happening.

I'm telling you I did a lot of revisions and reviews on the manuscript, thinking it was good to go. I even had beta readers go through it. When my editor sent back an editorial assessment, she suggested revisions and plot changes in some places and scenes.

When I got her email with the assessment, it was late August 2026, when my team and I were deep in preparation for The Muslim Author Book Fair 2026, which happened on the 1st of October.
