Howdy pard,

Well gosh darn it, it’s great to see you again! It’s been far too long. Grab yourself a barstool and sit your keister right here next to me at the bar.

You couldn’t have picked a better time to drop by. Doc Holliday’s girlfriend ‘Big Nose’ Kate earned her nickname not because of the size of her nose, but because she couldn’t stop herself from sticking it in other people’s business. Mary Katherine Haroney was born to wealthy parents but was orphaned at age 14 and placed into foster care. She ran away from her foster home to marry a dentist, and when he died, she went to Texas and became a dance hall girl and soiled dove. After meeting Doc Holliday, she followed him across the country as his sidekick and 'girlfriend'. Among her famous exploits was setting fire to an old shed as a distraction so that she could free Doc Holliday from jail.

Natural cowboy cures

Like they say, your best defense is a good offense! Back in the Old West folk didn’t have fancy medicines and antibiotics to treat coughs, infections and other maladies. But they did have simpler treatments handed down over the generations.

Cowboy chef Ken Rollins has collected some of the best old-time cowboy cures, natural remedies and immune boosters. A lot of these were passed down from the old cook going down the trail or from the Depression Era.
