One part whiskey, two parts cowboy, three parts sunshine

Howdy pard,
I like winter as much as the next guy, but I’m so glad it’s finally over.
There’s something about spring that fires up the ol’ bones and gets me out of the house. It’s finally warm enough to spend an evening around an open campfire, enjoying the sunset, a tumbler of whiskey in hand, a favorite book open on your lap…
Speaking of books, I should lead off with my big news – Redding’s Ace is finally available on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The feedback I’ve had so far has been great – and also a little surprising.
Click here to check out Redding’s Ace. You won't be disappointed.
Anyway, enough about me.
Speaking of good stories, do yourself a favor and check out this bundle of gripping action/adventure novels by a group of really talented authors. I’m hard to please when it comes to my reading, but there’s something for everyone
– military, crime, thriller, survival epics, even some science fiction
Here are some more - great books for the young’ns to keep them out of trouble. This middle grade novel giveway is just the ticket, and includes historical mystery, action, adventure. It’s really worth a look – and every book is free.
Did you know?
The whiskey that was sold in American saloons was a combination of burnt sugar, alcohol and chewing tobacco, and was extremely strong. ‘Firewater’, a common term for whiskey at the time, originated from early traders throwing whiskey on a fire to prove that it had a high alcohol content.
Well, if whiskey isn’t your thing, maybe you’d prefer jerky. Cowboys love jerky. Not only does it taste good, but it travels well, which is why it’s a favorite with cowpokes on the trail.
I found a wonderful recipe for smoked jerky which I just had to share. Even better, you can watch it being cooked by genuine cowboy cooking legend Kent Rollins. Get the jerky recipe here, watch Kent cook it up here!
One last thing - I’m dying to ask you a question. Have you read Redding’s Maverick yet? That was the novella I sent you as my way of saying thank you for signing up for my newsletter.
What did you think? Did you like it? Was there anything you care for? All authors thrive on feedback and reviews; any feedback you have will only help me make the next Sol Redding western better!
Send me a review or let me know what you thought at [email protected].
Happy trails,
Nick
