Have a Happy Holiday with a Giveaway!

Dec 15, 2023 8:39 pm

I'll be honest, I almost didn't send a newsletter today. Sometimes, it's easy to tell myself that no one cares. Everyone is too busy. Blah. Blah. Blah. Plus I was at the dentist with my oldest for 4 hours while he endured a root canal and I'd not already written and scheduled my email. I felt justified in skipping this month.

But then I realized I was trying to find a reason not to talk to you today. My introverted self tried to draw me into my little cocoon and tell me to hide for a few more months.

But I needed you to see how wonderful you are! Look what happened because of all of you wonderful readers. YOU made The Cowgirl's Last Rodeo a Publishers Weekly Bestseller! Thank you so much for your help and support throughout this writing journey. You have no idea how much it means to me.

In other bookish news, I'm writing books. So. Many. Books. Several of them will even release next year, but they're all in the baby stages of being plotted out and the ideas and characters are in a fragile state. What I can say is that I'm going to be focusing on cowboys again (surprise!) and when I started plotting the first book, all of a sudden, the cowboy had a family of four brothers and a sister to pop up. Well! I mean, how dare they, right? Because they all need stories too, I'm now working on a six-book series that you'll be able to read starting in April of 2024. I'll share more details and covers as they're available.

Now for the giveaway part of the newsletter! Woohoo!!

I love giving gifts. I always have and I suspect that I always will. And since this is the season of giving, I have a big giveaway for you.

One US winner will receive:

Paperback of The Cowgirl's Last Rodeo

Paperback of The Cowboy Bargain

Five bookish stickers

A Cowboy-scented candle (don't worry, it doesn't smell like sweat!)

An inspirational tumbler with Philippians 4: 13 on one side and butterflies with a cross on the other side.

To enter the giveaway, you get to help me name my book characters in the upcoming cowboy series. I need several names for men and women between the ages of 30 and 65, so send me a reply with your favorites and you'll be entered to win.

And for fun, here's today's book recommendation.

Christmas in Boulder Creek

imageBoulder Creek is in need of a Christmas Miracle…

Jayce Chambers offered her heart to high school sweetheart Austin Jarrett years ago, and he tossed it aside without so much as a backward glance. Though the town of Boulder Creek dubs the firefighter captain a hero, she vows she'll never again fall victim to his charms.

Austin had once hoped to build a happily-ever-after with Jayce, but circumstances beyond his control put the brakes on their future together. That’s all in the past, but Jayce seems bent on never letting him forget he let her down, big time.

When a meddling angel at the annual Fighters for Hire charity auction brings Austin and Jayce together again, even Jayce’s steely resolve and Austin’s heartfelt regrets from the past can't thwart the firefighter’s plans to once and for all make her his own.
