The Life of an Author/Behind the Scenes
I can hardly believe the marathon sprint of getting the Conviction out is done! The day job is pretty chill this time of year, so it's going to be nice to breathe before the holiday rush.
Though what is not chill is learning how to handle half snow days. Days that snow stops me from getting to work, but it's not a snow day. That's been super weird. I'm sued to "work or not" not this odd maybe half day maybe all-day stuff!
But I love Christmas. I work hard to avoid the annoying crowds and shopping rush so that once December hits, it's all the peace and joy of giving and doing service for others. I'm not sure how I'll do that this year, but it will be fun getting to know the community. Already looking at helping at Stable Hands (If you don't know what that is, see my social media to learn more).
Then of course the next big project is book three. Which is not the last one of the Enthronement. This story is just too big for three books! I've always tried to do three, but I'm learning more about my writing style and realized I'm not a trilogy type. Part of me wishes I'd learned that lesson with the Custod Chronicles, but I think they're still good (but come on, book 2 am I right!)
But I went right to decorating after Thanksgiving. Do you all like how it turned out?
