In the Flow

Retail politics came up a lot this week.

Not in the sense of pressing the flesh in New Hampshire in December and certainly not in connection to the current election.

But rather in the context of audience building and how many personal micro-interactions it takes.

You've got to love that shit or learn to love that.

To figure out how to connect with someone and make a connection that's genuine before pointing them to your content.

Flash that too early and you're a douche.

Take too long and you'll go too deep.

The grind is real.

Deep Work by Cal Newport - I needed this so much this week. A 250 page screed about being intentional about the work you actually want to do as opposed to all the bells and whistles competing for your attention.

There's a bunch of videos on facebook. That's nothing new. But you'd like to have them for your own, don't you? I know I do. Getting all of those Hot Seat Episodes on Youtube was great. I wouldn't have been able to do it without this FB capture tool.

All the best!
