*****NEWSFLASH***********DID THE TYPICAL SENDING THE WRONG VERSION THING********NEWSFLAS

Well, that didn't take long. With the second edition of our best newsletter ever, I managed to send out a mangled, incomplete, zombie of a version instead of the one I intended for you to enjoy. I strongly feel like blaming software for this but that would be chickenshit on my part. Let me know what you think of the newsletter by responding to this email.

In the Flow

It's good to have you here this week. It's been filled with an obsession with speed, with the magic of getting things done quickly. I like to overthink things but I like getting things done even better. You can't iterate just in your mind and having a version out in the world is a much better guarantee of progress especially when that first version is shitty. Nothing like making something shitty to motivate you to improve it.

On the podcast

Duncan Fischer shares the community he is building and how it will serve dog owners

Duncan has a really big vision for what he wants to build, but has limited time and capital to get started. We help Duncan identify where to focus his time and effort for the largest and fastest results.

On the bookshelf

Books are portals into other worlds. Getting really good instructions on how to do something you want to learn is fun but sometimes the best way to come up with new ideas is to step into the unfamiliar:

Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne - A fascinating look at the rise and fall of the Commanche Empire against the back drop of the American conquest of Texas.

White by Bret Easton Ellis - Sometimes books help you to realize that you're turning into a bit of an old fart. I found myself continually nodding in agreement as the author of American Psycho goes full angry uncle at Millennials.

In the Toolbox

Let's talk about emailing.

Here's an idea for something really short and simple to revive leads that have gone cold.

If you want to see an absolute master at writing copy that sells, sign up for Ben Settle's email list and tell me how long you are able to resist before you buy something he is selling. I make a practice of hand copying a couple of his emails every week.

All the best!

Bram & Greg
