Playa del Carmen
1) La Cochi-Loka
This little cozy pink restaurant is well known for having the best cochinita pibil (Yucatan style) in Playa del Carmen 🐷. It’s located right in the centre of Playa, one block away from the famous 5th avenue.
Its friendly staff reflects the style and character of this place and their prices are super accessible!

2) El Gran Taco
We’re huge fans of this place! Word is that not only their tacos are delicious, but also their stews are the best in Playa.
Paty, the owner, is the 4th generation of women entrepreneurs in her family dedicated to master the art of making tacos and pass their wisdom from generation to generation.

3) 🐝 Birria de la 30 🐝
Located on 30th avenue, this small and friendly restaurant has excellent tacos and quesadillas.
Their best taco is birria’s taco (of course). Birria is a way of preparing mutton meat, marinated with a preparation based on types of chili peppers, seasonings and salt. If you never tried birria don’t worry, we’re sure you’ll love it!

Tulum
1) Taqueria Honorio
This is the most famous taqueria in Tulum, and they absolutely earned their reputation! 💯
The secret is the love and patience they put into cooking and seasoning the “lechón”... it’s seasoned in a brick oven for about 12 hours 🕐. Doors open really early, at 6.30 in the morning, and they usually close by 1:30pm when they run out of ingredients!

2) Antojitos La Chiapaneca
This restaurant is always full of tourists and locals, and the mix of cultures is a good sign. It means everyone likes their tacos! Their pastor tacos with pineapple are terrific and their best-seller.
A plus? Their prices are a really good deal and sometimes they have live music performances.

The amazing atmosphere in this place is only compared to the quality of their tacos. The restaurant has a lovely patio with lights and palm trees 🌴. A lot of vegetation and live music is a perfect way to accompany some delicious tacos!

Its flavor is incomparable and this is due to the fact that they prepare the “Pastor” meat with the traditional recipe of Puebla. They have many restaurants across Mexico and their reputation is not in vain!

The unparalleled chilango (from Mexico DF) flavor is here. This restaurant is partly responsible for giving life to Nader Avenue in Cancun. It has become a must-visit in the city and people sometimes stand in line just to take a bite of their amazing tacos!
