This U.S tradition commemorates the harvest feast the first english colonists (Pilgrims) shared with the native American Wampanoag people in the current area of Massachussets (U.S.A) in 1621. Mexico does not share this same english roots, and as such does not celebrate this specific festivity.
Yet in Playa del Carmen, as an international tourist destination, this celebration has become popular due to our American residents and visitors who chose to spend their time in this beautiful place ☀️🌴.
