Hi ,
This week has been sad, and always is this time of year.
Twenty years ago, we all witnessed a world-altering event. The attack on the Twin Towers of 9/11 will never be forgotten, nor would we ever wish to. The injustice suffered by those killed juxtaposes the courage shown by those who saved lives.
I find it interesting how we are always drawn to these qualities of heroism. We might not see displays of it everyday, but when we do, we go out of our way to applaud it.
We like to read about it in our books, watch it on TV. Even though we are inundated with tales of these "morally grey" protagonists. We always want to believe in the goodness of people.
One of my favourite depictions of this is Star Trek, who turned the big 5-5 this year. Star Trek is the embodiment of what we as people are capable of. And that's the part of fiction I like the most. It's something I try and put in my own writing.
So I've brought together a couple of author-buddies to bring you a couple of sci-fi stories to take you on a journey to a better tomorrow.
Take a look.
These are just two I wanted to bring to your attention. (There's so many to chose from).
I hope they keep you busy. And let us always remember. Feel free to reply with your thoughts.
And have a great read.
