As I sit here, gazing out at the newborn lambs frolicking in the fields, it's evident that spring has arrived in all its glory. There's something truly magical about this time of year, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a beautiful view right outside my window.

This week also marks the beginning of the final phase of editing for "The Discovery of Magic". Clocking in at just over 140,000 words, it's an epic tale that spans two kingdoms and explores numerous worlds. I can't wait to see how it all comes together in the capable hands of my copy editor.

Now, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to another character from "The Discovery of Magic" - Prince Darien, crown prince of the northern kingdom of Parsa.

Seventeen-year-old Prince Darien is heir to the most powerful kingdom in existence, renowned for its magic and wealth. With his charming demeanour and friendly disposition, he's adored by mages and commoners alike. His royal status affords him many privileges, including the opportunity to explore foreign worlds in search of rare magical knowledge. Unfortunately, not everyone is impressed by Darien's adventurous pursuits and it often falls upon his sister, Princess Yasmin, to remind him of his duties at home. Given his individualist nature and regular self-indulgence, Darien is best represented by the Enneagram Type Four personality.
