Hair Cut

I was very pleased last week to finally get a hair cut! I'd last had one the week before lockdown, which was fortuitous. My hair had grown a lot in the following months and once I'd got past the really annoying stage, and had snipped into my fringe so it wasn't falling in my eyes all the time, I was rather enjoying the extra length. So when I at last got an appointment, I went for a tidy up, rather than the full chop. We'll see how it goes

Lashes

And in a couple of weeks, I can get my lashes put back on. I have really missed those. When I first had them put on, I said that I would just keep them for a few months, until my wedding. I've only had them off once since!

Filming Gear

image

I'm going to attempt the complicated process of filming and uploading YouTube videos, recipe demonstrations of course. To that end, I have recently got this lighting kit, didn't cost all that much

I've got to learn how to film, how to edit, how to get text overlays on, oh and lots of other things too. There is so much to learn in blogging, it's very absorbing

In the meantime, here's a couple of recent posts from Thrifty Lesley

Coconut Rice

This vegan rice can be dialed up to be VERY coconutty, which is how I first had it, or made more subtle.

I really liked it super coconutty

Home Made Pitta Bread

image

These pitta bread are the ones I made on a Greek Cuisine course I went on with my husband at Claverham College. One of the things we made were these pitta bread.

I think you will be able to see from the picture that they are pillowy, puffy and soft. They were easy to do, and as they are made of such basic ingredients, very cheap.

Next Weeks Meal Plan

image

This is my meal plan for the week 27th July 2020. Nothing fancy, just home cooking. I'm trying that mushroom and olive bake again, might even get to make it this week! Mike arrived home with another Fred Flintstone sized joint of beef this week, it's in the freezer right now. We'll make a start on it next Sunday

It's my birthday soon, no idea what I want to do, especially in the current circumstances. They don't have quite the same significance at this great age than they did when young.

With all best wishes, until next time
