Do the Modification

Hi there!
Why are there no pre-made milk teas (like Taro and Thai Tea) in grocery stores?
After doing a little research, it'd be too hard to have boba in it. Would you buy thai tea (no boba) if it was like those glass Starbucks bottles??
Process
I started a workout program in April called LIIFT4. It is a part of the BeachBody program offerings (the same company that makes p90x and Insanity), so needless to say it kicked my butt.
The workout videos have the trainees in a 2x2 formation. The person in the back right is always doing "the modification".
For example, instead of doing a full push-up, they'll do push-ups while on their knees.
Coming into the program, I was too prideful to do the modification. Instead I would compromise my form (like swinging my arm to lift the dumbbell) or not finish the set.
But as I kept going through the program, I started completing the full sets by either dropping the weight or doing the modification.
Gradually, I was able to complete the full sets with more weight as I progressed through the program. But there were still some days where I couldn't finish. In those cases I went back to the modification.
The program made me reflect on how my pride was keeping me from doing the modification to have consistency in other areas of my life.
What are areas of your life you're struggling to find consistency in because of the difficulty?
For example, I want to pray every morning (30 mins), afternoon (15 mins), and evening (30 mins). But most of the time I get overwhelmed by how much time it would take. So I don't end up doing it.
Instead I could do the modification and just do the Qaumo (the introductory prayer which takes like 2 minutes) each day at the same time each.
This is basically the principle of Tiny Habits coined by BJ Fogg.
Create habits by doing something EASY consistently rather than doing something difficult when you're able to. Once you build consistency, you can build over time.

Make a goal to read 2 pages every night instead of aiming to read a chapter every night. Some nights you might read a chapter anyways! But as long as you read 2 pages, you've maintained your habit.
Let go of the pride. Start as a beginner.

🐵 Brand is the ultimate marketing tool
I had to take notes from this amazing conversation between Dave Gerhardt from Privvy and Benji and Devesh from Grow and Convert.
Dave does a great job at explaining why "brand" is so important and how to position yourself in your market so you don't have to worry about the competition.
Basically you need to find what makes you different, whether that's a feature or a marketing channel, and go all in.
If you choose a marketing channel, it works best if you're talented in that channel. For example, if you're able to make good videos, start a YouTube channel for your company.

- So shipping this out from India is going to be a few thousand more than I expected... I'm deciding how to proceed. Part of me just wants to bring the car over here cause I'm sure I'll have success in using it for rentals and/or selling it. But I realize I should do another presale experiment to make sure I'm not totally wasting money.
📖 Founder's Journal
- This is my sole focus this month. I want to create operating procedures and a content calendar for The Ladder and Founder's Journal. Plus get some consistency on the creation of the content. By the end of the month I should have the fundamentals of running a social media agency documented.

If I don't send a newsletter by next Wednesday (11/11), venmo request me for $10 @monitormonkey.
Have a great week!
