Executive Orders: Nonprofit Leadership Resources
Jan 27, 2025 6:12 pm
In the last week many of our clients who are nonprofit leaders have been asking, what do all the new executive orders mean for us and our organizations?
While the situation remains fluid we wanted to offer a couple timely resources for those of you who are looking to not only understand how the executive orders impact your organization, programs, and staff but also how to navigate the emerging landscape.
- The National Council of Nonprofits released this Chart of Executive Orders and how they impact nonprofit organizations - the link will be updated as details emerge so save the link: https://www.councilofnonprofits.org/files/media/documents/2025/chart-executive-orders.pdf
- If you are in Oregon, the Nonprofit Association of Oregon conducted a webinar on Friday and they recommended a few action steps as well including: reviewing any federal grants or contracts you receive, checking your non-discrimination policies and ensuring you understand them, checking your Directors and Officers liability insurance and ensure you are up to date, communicating with your employees and program participants and partners as you go, and more. If you are interested in slides from that webinar please let us know or contact NAO.
Here at LTI our values and purpose remain the same as they always are - envisioning a world where leadership is marked by humility, empathy, and courage, aligned with our mission to empower leaders, elevate healthy culture, and expand impact.
We understand it can be lonely at the top as you communicate up to your board and out to your teams, donors and communities. We are available for executive strategy consultations, coaching, and training if you would like a thought partner as you make important decisions about your next steps.
