Friends!
I'm popping in for a quick update today. If you're new here, welcome!! Make sure to check out the links below for your free copies of Palace of Lights (gaslamp Cinderella retelling) and Threshold (Peter Pan-inspired portal fantasy). Enjoy!
After the Fairy Tale Day fun last month (did you participate in the Adventure?), March shifted gears to basketball tournaments, illnesses, and a middle school musical. Other than the bouts of sickness, it was lots of fun! My son's underdog team won their basketball championship, and the musical came together last-minute to be a success! You can't help but have a good time with the music and dancing of High School Musical (Jr, in this case) :) But it was also quite exhausting, especially since my husband spent several weekends building the set for the show and I spent many late nights helping with costumes. Time to rest and regroup!
As you can probably guess, not a lot of writing happened in the midst of all this month's chaos. But I got a thrilling piece of news a few weeks ago - the audiobook for A Noble Purpose is a finalist in the prestigious Selah Awards! I'm so grateful to Leonor A. Woodworth and the entire OneAudio team for bringing this story to life in such a wonderful way. It's so encouraging to know that Princess Liesel's story is reaching more readers and having a positive impact :)
Hopefully this recognition has come at the perfect time to motivate me to get back into a good rhythm of writing sessions to finally make some progress on my releases coming up later this year! Speaking of which, here's the promised cover reveal - Tada!!!
Of Pine and Pretense is up for preorder on Amazon, along with the rest of the Twist of Tales series. I'm SO excited for these genderbent Christian fairy tale retellings, especially the fun animal companions :) Here's a look at the entire series together, I just love all the beautiful colors!
Stay tuned for more Twist of Tales news in the coming months, we can't wait to share these stories with you! In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely Easter and a spring filled with warmth and renewal. See you next month!

Beka Gremikova and I have had short stories in several of the same anthologies and she's always a pleasure to work with! Her stories are so creative - they take some surprise twists and showcase the darker side of fairy tales while staying relatively clean. And currently two of her story collections are on sale! Just look at those gorgeous covers :)
It's the last day to back the Kickstarter for Valia Lind's Thunderbird Academy trilogy! Some of my favorite tropes all rolled into one, and just look at how amazing the special edition is going to be! The Kickstarter is already funded, but you can still get in on the exclusive rewards :)
