It's almost November! Can you believe that the year is almost over?

I'm ready for it.

My question for all you writers out there - are you participating in NaNoWriMo? I'm thinking of making a little channel on Discord to help encourage one another and possibly do some writing sprints. If you're interested, join discord and drop a note that you are participating! (for those of you who might be confused, November is national novel writing month where writers take on the challenge of writing 50K words (a short novel) over the 30 days).

Patreon is the best place to be! You'll get plenty of artwork, memes, inside looks at future books, and some really awesome updates on the future of this series. Between the prequel short stories for TCOBS and Star Supernova, you'll get plenty of insider details on the new books coming!

Week off from the blog

I'm taking a week off from the blog this week to prep for NaNoWriMo. Yes, I believe I am going to take on the challenge of writing 50K words during the month of November. Every year I've done the challenge, I've taken on a new book in the Blue Star series (my clean YA superpower books) and this year I will be tackling Star Supernova (book 2 in the Star Trilogy). I'll have a November special for you guys if you want to read books 1-4 in the series at a discount, so stay tuned!

You can read last week's blog post which is an EXCERPT from The Curse of Broken Shadows!

WIP - TCOBS prequel:

So, I have a question for you guys when it comes to my prequel. I was planning on releasing this all as one little epic novel collection of short stories (probably somewhere around 50-80K words total compared to TCOBS which was 210K). However, someone suggested that I start releasing the stories I have finished on Amazon. Would you guys be interested in reading them early before I turn it into a book? I also plan to shoot you guys a free deal on the first story (as in, you get a special link to read it for free) so don't fret about that. Anyway, email me your thoughts!

Here's a little snippet from The Crystal Desert!

“You agreed to do something for them without knowing what it is?” Emril grumbled. “I told you not to do something stupid without me.”

Brela shoved away the arm he’d draped over her shoulders, ignoring the sting from the cuts on her hands. “I didn’t have much of a choice. And I’m not really doing something stupid without you. They agreed that you could help.”

“Yes, but the question remains as to what, exactly, I’m helping you with.”

“In time, meaty things,” Oni purred from ahead of them. Lenni jabbed him with a glass elbow, snickering.

Brela snarled at them but continued to walk, the wind and sand scratching her skin as the sweaty fabric of her clothes stuck to her. She was ready for this trip to be over with.

Emril leaned closer. “So… he’s the Crown Prince of the Sand Sprites.”

“Yup.”

“He’s been in charge of getting you the information you wanted this whole time?”

“Yup,” she snapped again.

“So he’s been playing you?”

Brela only glared at the redhead.

Emril grinned. “I like him.”

“Don’t make me stab you,” she grumbled. “Or, better yet, I'll shove you into one of these pits and see what happens.”

Outro:

What have been some of your last five star reads? I just got done reading The Thief's Gambit by Clare Sager (link above) and it was absolutely wonderful. However, since reading The Call of the Void by SM Gaither, I've been on a string of less than enjoyable reads. You can check out my review page to see all the books I've enjoyed lately and drop me a suggestion!
