Oh, boy. This weekend was packed but a blast. My husband and I headed up to my alma mater (Notre Dame) to enjoy Strikeout Cancer weekend with the softball team! It was a bit of a hike, made a little more uncomfortable by being 34 weeks pregnant, but it was so worth it. The team raised over $66K for pediatric cancer!!
As a former player who was around when we switched to the orange (leukemia) for our cause, this was such an honor to come back to celebrate. With the health stuff the last few years and being a coach the previous five, I haven't had a chance to go back for this special weekend until now... and it was worth it.
Fun fact: I pitched for ND softball from 2011-2014 and have a bunch of records. Check them out here. There's also a video of highlights from 2013 when I was player of the year.

A little character talk: This week I take a deep dive into all of the characters I've created! Get some background info about some of my book characters.

Has anyone reread TCoBS yet?
Free Book:
As promised, I'm sharing this prequel book with readers for FREE. You can download it here. With baby coming up, I'm not going to be able to monitor this book as closely, but if you download it, I would GREATLY appreciate a star rating or full review on Goodreads (and Amazon on/around release day, April 12, if you finish it by then). Reviews help keep more books coming and will definitely make my day when I'm sleep deprived with my new little nugget!

Question of the week: How did your March reading month go? Respond to this email with your answer!
My Answer: I got a lot more books in than I expected, though many of them were rereads. I got through 8 books, 3 new - including Jennifer Armentrout's A Shadow in the Ember and The War of Two Queens (released March). My plan, knowing this was going to be a busy month, was just to get through five but I'm quite happy that I found the time to get my work done and get those books under my belt! You can follow me on Goodreads!
Sending you love, kindness, and peace for wherever you are right now.
