Happy September! I kind of feel like this Dunkin' commercial, tbh.
I've been on a reading binge (82/100 for the Goodreads challenge, I'm literally on my phone 8 hours a day reading books) and trying to write as much as possible while baby sleeps. Next week is vacation (hubby and I never got a honeymoon or babymoon) and I'm excited to get out with Violet and see some new places.
Patreon is back up! New chapters for book 2 in the Smoke and Shadow series started yesterday and will continued 2x a week until it's done!!

Question of the week: Do your characters come designed to fit certain roles that the story needs, or do you fit the story around some characters? which usually comes to you first, plot or characters?
My Answer: While I have started with vague plot ideas and come up with a character to fit in that story, the majority of my stories start with characters and I build the plot around them. These usually have a sprinkling of plot points that I will hit but I let the characters dictate the scenes in between.I love giving my characters the voice of the story so it feels more authentic and genuine.
Sending you love, kindness, and peace for wherever you are right now.
