It's the best month of the year! I'm diving even deeper into my writing for the second book in the smoke and shadows series (codename: project firefall). I'm entering the month just shy of 100K words (for reference, The Curse of Broken Shadows was 210K) and my goal is to come out with 150K, but even if I don't hit that, I know I'll get some good work in for the month. Question for you: What's the last book you read?

My Answer: I'm doing a re-read of A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer L Armentrout to prepare myself for the release of the sequel on Nov 15! I also finished my goodreads goal of 100 books last month (hey, there's only so much I can do while feeding a baby or holding her while she sleeps, so reading helped me pass the time when I wasn't able to write), so I'm pretty content with picking up re-reads since they don't require as much brainpower.
