I've got some awesome news in here which includes an EARLY LOOK at the cover for How Not to Pursue Your Human Perfectionist.

But first the really awesome part... The Blade of Severed Bonds belongs to me now!

If you're totally confused, that's okay! This was listed as book 2.5 in the Smoke and Shadow series, which contained 5 short stories and served as a little breather between books 2 and 3. It had Blade (an origin short story that I originally published with an anthology) and four deleted and bonus scenes related to the previously published books.

I have a blog post (read here) with all the details, but the highlight is (1) I didn't previously own the rights to my story, but (2) I do now!

TLDR:

• The collection known as The Blade of Severed Bonds (with five short stories) is being dissolved
• In March 2026, The Blade of Severed Bonds (short story only) will become a newsletter freebie and free on ebook platforms (full distribution list tbd)
• two short stories associated with the prequel will become newsletter bonus content for The Bones of Crystal Sand
• two short stories associated with the second book will become newsletter bonus content for The Wings of Shattered Fire
• The paperback collection listed on Amazon will no longer be available

If you stick around, I'll be sending that freebie out in March so you won't miss a thing. The best part is, Blade can be read at any point in the Smoke and Shadow series without spoilers, so it's perfect if you're curious about the series or have finished it and want something extra.

Cover Reveal

I know what you're most excited about... a cover reveal! This is officially dropping on MONDAY Feb 16 and will start to populate on Amazon and Goodreads hopefully by then, but we've got a pretty cover!

Designed/drawn by me, I'm super excited about the two tails and the lil cupcake. Tells you just how cozy and spicy this monster romance is going to be! But it also makes me sad that this will be my last book in this series with A.K. Caggiano.
