Release day musings:

It's strange releasing my last book of the year and my 36th total title. Somehow, release day gets both easier and harder as I continue publishing. Easier, perhaps, because I'm more familiar with the back end now and some of the details are pretty second nature to me.

Harder in that with each new book, there's another set of expectations on my shoulders. A few new readers, trying to convince people who have never heard of me to give my book a chance, living up to the expectations of a previous book or series.

The comparison game is always looming. Am I doing as good as last release? Will I maybe flirt with an orange banner on this one? What if everyone expects a sunshine x sunshine romance like the last book in this series and are suddenly shocked when Kalypso gets tackled by Ozirax and they spend the entire book sparring with one another?

All I can say is this: every new book I release is my best book. I believe with each one I write and carry from blank page to final manuscript, I've improved somewhere. Maybe the change isn't as exponential as it was between books 1 and 2 as it is between 35 and 36, but I can see it and feel it each time I write The End.

I hope you enjoy Woo as much as I enjoyed writing it. A huge part of me has been lovingly woven into these characters, and while that's always a scary thing, I'm proud that this book is the one to close 2025 on a good note for me.
