Happy July, my friends!
Quick little personal update: I definitely thought I'd be back with you a little sooner than this, but you know, that's life with a baby! Our not-so-little girl came on her due date (May 17), 8lbs 7oz, 21.5in. She had aspiration pneumonia at birth so she was taken immediately to NICU and spent a week there, but she's happy and healthy now at home.
I've started writing again! I'm going into Camp NaNoWriMo this month with a 10K goal just to get myself back in the swing of things. Even though writing progress has been slow, progress has been made! I'm so excited about the second installment of the Smoke and Shadows series. The hubby already has *reactions* to the first couple chapters ;)
Right now, I'll probably stick to a monthly update with the newsletter. The schedule is constantly changing with a growing baby!

Question of the week: Do you prefer character or plot-driven stories?
My Answer: I love characters! Sure, I like a bit of a plot, but if you give me characters to root for or enjoy, I don't care if you only write them going to get ice cream or walking through the park. Characters interacting with one another is my cup of tea!
Sending you love, kindness, and peace for wherever you are right now.
