Hello June!
Jun 01, 2023 1:01 pm
Happy June, !
It's been a minute since I've sent out a newsletter, so HELLO!
I don't know about you, but I am glad that summer is finally here. At least until the 100-degree weather starts. 🥵🥵
Now that June has arrived, there are only TWENTY more days until my next book, Neverending Mercy releases! 🥳
Have you read my In the Midst Series yet?
If you haven't read my first two books, In the Midst of the Storm and In the Midst of the Darkest Hour, you can read them for FREE on Kindle Unlimited.
After you've read them, I would be so appreciative if you would leave a review on Amazon. The more reviews, the more that Amazon will show my books to new readers!
And guess what?
I'm only two reviews away from hitting 50 on Amazon for In the Midst of the Storm! So if you've read it, but haven't left a review, I'd love for you to take a minute to do that! Leave a review HERE.
What's new with me?
We're officially on summer break and the kids have been loving the warmer weather! I've also started writing a new book which will be the first in a duology. I'll give you a small hint...both books will deal heavily with international food themes. Yes, it makes me hungry as I'm writing, but it's also super fun.
Besides writing, I've also become obsessed with all things Turkish. I blame Instagram reels for showing me clips from a Turkish romcom for months before I finally caved and started watching it. But guys...BUT...it's so good. It's called Erkenci KuÅŸ (Early Birds) and I'm watching it for the second time already (I even won my husband over as a fan). You can watch it for FREE on YouTube with English subtitles HERE.
And...because I am loving all things Turkish, my husband and kids bought me a Turkish tea set for Mother's Day. A few days ago, my husband made homemade baklava to go with our nightly tea. It was delicious.
June Releases
Here are four new releases that I've had the privilege of reading and highly recommend if you love Christian fiction.
The first book I'm going to share is probably my favorite book of all time and one that I think literally everyone should read. I can't put into words how beautiful and encouraging this book is.
Through Thorny Ways by Jennifer Q. Hunt
Shrouded in scandal and secrets, Arilee Rutledge’s family is as tangled as the thorns surrounding their unwelcoming antebellum mansion. When her brother Davis returns from the Great War, she hopes they will make a new start after a season of devastation. But Davis is haunted by their younger brother’s death and his wife’s committal to the state asylum; while he loses himself in his work, Arilee continues raising his children. Determined to control at least one area of their lives, the siblings hire a former acquaintance to restore their dilapidated home.
Thrown from a carefree boyhood into the horrors of trench warfare, Adam Harrison is broken yet matured by his experiences. He takes a job updating and repairing Wisteria House, not only to pay his way through medical school, but in hopes of winning the woman he has long admired. A startling discovery plunges them all into a series of events revealing dark mysteries and shaking their already-uncertain future.
Can the thorns of grief, pain, and regret ever be cleared from their troubled hearts?
For those who love the Church, for those who have been hurt by the Church, and for those of us who are both, Jennifer Q. Hunt brings a poignant new family saga in which the challenges of life are not glossed over and hope in Christ is never underestimated. Powerful and compelling, Through Thorny Ways is a story of sacrifice and family, forgiveness and love, new beginnings and utter dependence on the Lord. Find a permanent place on your shelf, because once you travel to 1921 Atlanta with Hunt, you aren't going to want to leave. —Heather Wood, Author of the Finding Home series.
This is the perfect YA Christian romance with strong, realistic faith and lovable characters!

When Forever Comes by Tawni Suchy
A decade of prayers reunited them.
Only a miracle can keep them together.
Olivia Swann
Taking my sister on my honeymoon was never part of the plan. But neither was finding my now ex-best friend and fiancé in bed together the day before our wedding. Instead of dwelling on my failed relationship, my sister and I embarked on the vacation of a lifetime. I was ready to enjoy the exclusive resort and all it had to offer. What I wasn’t prepared for was running into the boy—now man—of my past, who vanished after giving me the kiss of a lifetime.
Weston Lockwood
It broke me to abandon the only girl I ever loved. But when my careless actions brought tragedy to our hometown, the only option was to leave her behind. Ten years have passed and in that time, I’ve built my empire, but Olivia never strayed far from my thoughts or prayers. When I found out she was engaged to my high school nemesis, I thought a second chance would be impossible. But when she showed up at my resort on her honeymoon without her fiancé, I knew this was God giving me the second chance I’ve been praying for.
Will Olivia and West claim their happily ever after? Or will hurts from past wounds destroy their chance at forever?
If you love sweet romcoms, you'll love this fun Christian rom-com! This is the second in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone.
Full of Wonder by B.M. Baker
Everything changed because of one crazy girl…
Roofer Marco Mendez always thought there was only one woman for him: his high school crush, Lillian Harrison. But when he receives her wedding announcement in the mail, he must accept his loss and move on. Following his best friend’s advice, he meets José’s cousin and asks her to pretend a temporary relationship and attend the wedding as his plus-one. With a charade so simple, nothing could ever go wrong…yet little does he know what a mess he is getting himself into.
Rosalina Torres has zero interest in a relationship at present. She has enough on her plate keeping her growing dog-grooming business running, without the added distraction of a man in her life. Despite that, when her cousin asks her to go on a dinner date with his best friend, she agrees, with the peace of mind nothing will come of it. But when a conversation gets out of control, she finds herself stuck in a most incredulous ruse.
With each fake date, the lie starts to feel a little more like truth. But when the agreement comes to an end, what will it take for Marco and Rosalina to admit their true feelings? How can they overcome the obstacles created by their deception? And in the end, can God take their mess and turn it into something good, eventually filling their hearts with wonder?
And that is all! Thanks so much for being here! If you ever want to chat or ask a question, just hit the reply button!
