Tornados, Dragons, and Migraines, Oh My!
May 29, 2024 12:20 pm
Happy Wednesday, !
It's been a stormy May in Kentucky. We had another round of tornados come through over Memorial Day weekend. My family and I are ok. My parents lost several big trees and my sister lost her big apple tree, but thankfully no other damage. Many lost everything and/or are out of power and water, though. Please pray for the area.
Life & Writing Updates
The kids finished out the 2023-2024 school year, but this year we are trying something new where we do 2-3 days of school throughout the summer. I'm hoping it helps keep the kids (and myself) on a schedule. Plus, it will help us when we need to take off a week in the winter due to illnesses.
As far as writing goes, I wish I could tell you I had a new book coming soon, but I'll be honest, I'm still struggling. I'm still having migraines several days each week and some days that's accompanied by extremely blurred vision. On the days I don't have headaches, I'm finding it difficult to get into Nora & Kip's book or the beach brother's books. I love these characters, I really do, but when I open the docs to edit and add to them, I get nothing.
I have a small project I'm going to try and work on to hopefully get my creative juices flowing. But at this time, I still have no idea when I'll be able to get another book out. I had hoped to have three more published this year, but it isn't looking that way. It seems as if God is forcing me to rest for a season, so I'm trying to be patient and take His lead.
I'd appreciate prayers that the migraines and blurred vision would go away and that I'd get the inspiration to write again. And that if it isn't the time for that, I'd find peace in the waiting.

She’s no damsel, but dang…this knight in shining armor kinda makes her want to be.
He is my ex. And now my…bodyguard? I did not think this through…
When a social worker and a truancy officer show up at Finley Rhodes' cottage in Ocean Grove she knows her life is about to change forever.
She just didn't realize how much.
