In the Midst of the Chaos...

Hello ,

Does it feel like you're always adding to your to-do list instead of checking things off? That's how I'm feeling now that we are back in full swing with school. We actually started in July, but then, life happened so we weren't able to get as much done as I would have liked.

Speaking of school, my almost six-year-old was doing his math and decided to add a little creativity to his work.

Confused about what's going on? In his words, "36, 37, and 38 are being blown away by nostrils!" 🤣 Now, I assumed the little lines were nose hairs, but he claims it's the air from the nostrils. I'll let you decide. LOL

Also, my oldest is now officially NINE and was a champ getting her ears pierced last week! They're hard to see, but she chose Hello, Kitty earrings.

Writing Update

In the midst of all the chaos that homeschooling three young kids brings, I'm trying to find pockets of time to write on my next book. I'm up to a little over 19k words and praying I can keep the momentum going!

Any guesses about what this story is...or who is speaking? 😏 I'll give you a hint...both of these characters (Nora and the guy speaking about her) have been in one of my books.

What I'm Currently Reading

Along with a few critiques, I'm also reading an ARC copy of Dana LeChimant's next book, and let me tell you, IT IS ADORABLE so far! If you love sweet and clean romcoms, then you'll love this one! **Bonus points if you get the reference for the title.

Micah Taylor is an eternal optimist, but with every first date that fails, her faith in true love weakens. When offered the chance to help reopen the lodge where her parents were married, Micah is determined to prove her worth and show her boss that she has what it takes to be a great event planner. But the grumpy assistant to the client, Fischer, sees her as a distraction from his own goals of taking over his boss's company, and he seems to be in her way at every turn.

Despite his reservations, Fischer's heart latches onto Micah the moment he sees her. As they work together, Fischer begins to realize that Micah could be the one thing he needs, but she deserves better than a broken man incapable of love.

But the more time he spends with Micah, the more he knows there's no going back. He just has to hope he can become the man she has been dreaming of before she decides it's time to move on to someone better.
