I'm now living in a bakery, and I'm not complaining

Hello ,
We've reached our last newsletter of October! Can you believe it's almost turkey month?
The leaves have finally started changing and we've had gorgeous weather. It does make me miss eastern Kentucky though with the hills of colorful trees.
Life Updates
This Sunday is the kids' last Adventure Club and Monday is their last day of co-op for the year. While they've had so much fun, mama is tired and ready for a little downtime.
So, I'm always talking about homeschooling and what the kids are doing, but I haven't talked much about my amazing hubby. He's taken up the hobby of baking and my house smells like a bakery almost every day now. The kids and I are definitely not complaining.
This past weekend we had fresh blueberry bagels, chocolate chip bagels, white bread, and the best biscuits I've ever tasted in my life.
Writing Update
So I have two super secret projects going on right now. Crazy, right? They are both exciting in different ways.
I should have an official teaser on one of them in the next two weeks.
I'm over 23k words into one of them and oh my goodness, these characters may be my favorite I've written so far. They are so much fun with lots of snarky banter and sizzling chemistry. I can't wait to share more but...here's a little hint...

The residents of the idyllic town of Duncan all agree on one thing—Audrey Merry is the best.
Audrey is Duncan’s beloved sweetheart with her perky, sunshine attitude and deep love for her community. The bakery owner feels the same way about her hometown, but one person in particular catches her eye—the town recluse. He’s a nut she can’t crack, but she won’t let this holiday season pass without giving it her best shot.
Brenner Hodge isn’t in the mood for all the holly and jolly decking the halls and every street corner. Ever since his wife’s death, he’d rather spend his time alone, crunching numbers and pretending the world outside his front door doesn’t exist. It’s easier that way, and there’s no chance of his heart getting crushed worse than it already is.
But Brenner can’t escape the obligatory celebration with Mrs. Kilmer, the mayor’s wife, assigning cheery chores to everyone whether they’re interested or not. Decorating, gift delivering, and an impromptu snowball fight force Brenner out of his comfort zone, but doing all those things with Audrey by his side makes the holiday—and his future—sparkle again.
***Merry Takes Main Street is a sweet, swoony Christmas romance with loads of heart, healing, and second chances at life and love!***

Runaway Bride and the Ex Navy-Seal. Choosing my happiness over every other thing, I decided to call off my wedding at the altar. To avoid questions, I left my home and drove down to a small town where nobody knew me. My impression driving all the way to Jackson Hole was to get a bit of peace and silence. Most importantly, time to think about what I wanted to do next with my life. But with the kind of neighbor I had, there really was no peace and quiet. His wits were infuriating, and every time we met, all we ever did was argue. Deciding to take a break from being at home, I agreed to join the community in their festivities, one of which included an adventure in the woods. A breath of fresh air I thought.
Only to find out who my partner was; you got it right, it was him; my neighbor.
Oh well, you know what they say; there is only a thin line between love and hate. While on our adventure, we got lost in the woods and let’s just say that was the beginning of our fairy tale. After finding our way back home, we were excited but exhausted from the day’s event. All I could think of was laying on my bed to have a good night's rest. But I guess the universe really was against me finding peace and rest, that was the only explanation as to why I found a baby at my doorstep.
