Can you believe September is almost over? I am eager for October and the leaves changing colors and even cooler weather.

Life Updates

We have several field trips planned over the next few weeks, including a hike, and then a trip to the apple orchard with hayrides, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes!

Speaking of field trips, last week, I threw out my back and the kids had a field trip to the zoo and Mammoth Caves. Thankfully, my mom and sister took them so they didn't miss out on getting to feed and pet the baby kangaroos! They had a blast and have talked about it all weekend long.

Writing Update

I'm slowly making headway with my WIP. I've added several hundred words and am so close to hitting 50k words (official novel length size!) For perspective, Neverending Mercy was originally 114k words and I cut it down to about 104k. This book will probably be about 75-85k words once I'm finished.
