Happy Wednesday, !

I hope you have had a fabulous week and warmer weather! It's been chilly here in the mornings, but afternoons have been nice and sunny.

Life & Writing Updates

Life has been pretty hectic and crazy lately, but even in the hard moments, God has been so kind and gracious. Last fall, during a completely unrelated scan, they found a mass on my husband's kidney. We found out in December that it was most likely cancer. On Monday, he had the tumor removed along with the surrounding area of the kidney. They'll biopsy it to determine if it's cancer, but the doctor was pretty confident that it probably is based on the size and appearance.

We're home now and resting. We're thankful that everything went extremely well and he shouldn't require any further treatment.

If you recall in my last email, I mentioned that I had a concussion. I'm doing better, but I'm still having moments of pressure behind my eye, some migraines, and blurry vision. Because of that (and my husband's surgery), I've been unable to focus on writing. But I have been brainstorming like crazy and I am confident that I figured out a plot point for Nora & Kip's book that had been holding me back. I'm hoping to jump back into their story this week or next, so I can get it into your hands ASAP!

What I've Been Reading

I have had an amazing month of reading! I don't know how, but I stumbled across six 5-star books back-to-back!

The Girl From the Hidden Forest by Hannah Linder releases April 30th. Read if you love gothic regency vibes and sweet, but angsty romance with light faith themes.

T. Bell is a new-to-me author and I read all three of her books in less than a week! If you love contemporary Christian romance with faith, loads of angst, realistic, flawed characters and raw emotions, then you NEED to read her books. Letters of Faith & Letters of Grace are already out and Redemption released TODAY!

Steadfast by Amy Caldwell is the sequel to Boundless. It's a contemporary women's fiction with relatable characters and faith woven throughout. There's also a tender and sweet romance. You need to read the books to truly appreciate all the family dynamics, but you won't be disappointed! Amy has a fresh and unique voice and I am here for it!

A Surefire Love by Emily Conrad is her first book in her new series. It's a contemporary romance with strong faith and characters that feel like friends! It releases on April 29th.

imageSilent Sunsets: A Small Town, Second Chance Romance, is a heartwarming romance that takes you on a journey of love, heartbreak, reunion, and the power of second chances. It is a testament to the enduring rhythm of love, mirroring the ceaseless waves of the ocean and the rhythm of island life. Their love story is their legacy.
