In case you are unable to pay for your ads or facing the error of payment decline, here is what you can do.
Make sure you use Pay U payment method. If you can't find Pay U, that means your ad account is postpaid. Unfortunately, postpaid accounts no longer work in Nigeria because of CBN limitations on international transactions.
So the solution is to use a prepaid ad account.
How?
- Go to business(DOT)facebook(DOT)com.
- At the left panel, look for ALL TOOLS. Click on it, it's going to bring a large menu options.
- From the options, look for BILLINGS and click on it.
- When you get there, you'll see your ad accounts. If there is a prepaid account there, you'll identify it by the text PREPAID and the button ADD FUNDS next to the amount.
You can fund it and use it for your ads. You can create a new account if you don't have a prepaid account.
On the left panel on your business manager, click on SETTINGS below the page. It will take you to your business manager settings. Look for BUSINESS ASSETS, from the tabs there, go to Ad accounts and create a new one.
During the process of creating the new one, make sure you select Nigeria, Lagos/Africa as the timezone and Nigerian Naira as currency.
