Pero sí hay cabezas ojivales. Santas de hombros desnudos; confesoras o vírgenes, quién sabe. Y hasta esa corbata es ojival también, aunque nunca le hayan hablado de arbotantes y cosas de esas tan raras, que la pobre corbata no sabría responder.
Pero hay un vaso de vino tinto que pretende elevarse al cielo, Y, si no lo consigue, es porque una mano lo retiene Y lo acerca más a la tierra... es decir, a la madera desgastada y poderosa de la mesa.
But there are pointy heads. Bare-shouldered saints, confessors, or virgins, or who knows what. Even that tie is pointed, though no one has ever told him about flying buttresses or other strange things that the poor tie couldn't comment on.
But there is a glass of red wine that aspires to rise to the heavens, and if it fails it is only because a hand holds it and brings it closer to the earth... that is, to the worn and powerful wood of the table.
