Hi ,
Kamusta?
We're so happy to be able to record together again and resume our journey talking about St. John Paul II's Love & Responsibility.
In this episode we wanna rediscover a virtue in a world where people resent the word virtue itself.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church - CCC 1803: Virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself. The virtuous person tends toward the good with all his sensory and spiritual powers; he pursues the good and chooses it in concrete actions
So bakit madaming may ayaw to be called virtuous? Or why do we even feel embarassed when we're associated to be someone na "holy, holy" or being "old-school"
In this episode, we unbox the perspective of St. John Paul II when he said that
"Only the chaste man and the chaste woman are capable of true love." This quote has been taken out of context in many ways especially in the hyper-sexualized world we live in nowadays.
We have to ask ourselves, is Chastity only applicable in matters relates to sex? Or does it go beyond that?
We hope to be able to present to you a sort of REDISCOVERY on the beauty that this virtue brings, whether you're in a relationship or not.
“The essence of chastity consists in quickness to affirm the value of the person in every situation and in raising to the personal level all reactions to the value of 'the body and sex'" (p. 171).
Ikaw Langga, do you see the virtue of chastity as a Guardian of Love?
