Morning Book Lover, and Happy New Year to you!

Little Man (3) is always asking to stay up past his bedtime (aren't most toddlers?). So, this year, since we figured we'll be staying up for New Year's anyway, we invited him to stay up too. We tried to explain what we were doing, but in the end, I just told him he didn't have a bedtime because the Sheriff and I didn't think he'd make it to midnight anyway, he hadn't had a nap that day.

Well, joke's on us. The Sheriff was asleep on the couch by 10 and I had to force myself to stay awake since LM was going strong still at 11:30. I put on Cars (the way he says Lightning McQueen is adorable) and worked on my goals. At 11:45 he laid down on my thigh and fell right to sleep while I rang in the new year to the sounds of my husband, son, and dogs' snores! 😂

The next day we were supposed to go for a family hike and Sheriff and Little Man decided to have a nap and slept for 3 hours so we went for a walk instead...

Are you a resolutions person? I am. It's probably because I'm a Capricorn, I like concrete goals and organization, I like the achievement when I look back on my goals and see how I've done. So, my goal this year is to build my backlist. I have 2-3 books EACH MONTH planned out for you. I even will ambitiously be aiming for the USA Today Bestseller list later this year, so look out for that super-secret project!!
