Hey Book Lover,

It's that time again! I'm participating in another stuff your Kindle event with some of my fellow authors and I wanted to be sure that you got your hands on these freebies!

My book Vanished in Brooklyn is FREE today only. The next books in my Mafia series will be releasing next month so definitely get your hands on this now while you can.

As for me, after I'm done stuffing my kindle... It's back to writing. I have the epilogue of Deal with the Devil to write. Then it's off to my Beta Reader -- I'm also looking for a second one so if you're interested in providing meaningful and helpful feedback on my pre-edited writing, please reply to this email and let me know!

Then, it'll be edited and proofread and then ARCs will be made available. You can also let me know if you'd like to receive an ARC by replying to this email as well.

Until then, here's an unedited sneak peek!

The journalists finished scribbling in their notebooks, one even having the audacity to approach her. I moved quickly, the crowd parting for me innately and I reached the man’s side, grabbing his elbow just as he opened his mouth.
“The door is that way,” I said coldly, turning the man forcefully and not so gently nudging him toward the door. Once I was sure the journalist wasn’t going to turn around and try again, I faced her, taking her in much better. She looked battle-hardened, reluctant, and exhausted all at the same time. The myriad of emotions that seemed to pass over her face were a fraction of what was going on under the surface.
I could care about it, but then, I didn’t have time for it. There was a war on the horizon and I needed to get intel in order to fight and win. Pretty distractions would only cost them right now.
“I could’ve handled that myself,” she spoke with a slight edge to her tone like she was trying to chastise me or, perhaps, she was hiding her amusement. There was a glint in her eye and I couldn’t tell if it was mockery or mischief.
“I’m sure you could’ve, you look like a … moderately sized girl to me.” I smirked at her as I eyed her height compared to mine. She didn’t even manage to tuck under my arm if I were to envelop her. At best, she hit just below my chest. “Do they not water you enough in Indiana?”
She scowled, “you probably were stretched as a child, or were abducted from a family of giants that live in a cave.”
I laughed, her insult not really doing the trick as I imagined living in a cave. Might’ve been more enjoyable than my childhood home.
“Stretched,” I agreed, it was, after all, the closest thing to the truth.
“So, why are you here?” She set her hands on her hips, but it did nothing more than keep me amused than have the desired effect.
“Why am I here?”
“Yeah, you’re obviously not a journalist, definitely not a cop, and judging a book by its cover,” she ran her hand along her neck, drawing my eye to the elegance belonging to hers, “I’d say you were a friend or colleague of the deceased piece of shit behind door number one.”
“Piece of shit,” I said thoughtfully, nodding my head as I glanced at the two-way mirror. I wondered if no one had ever told her not to speak ill of the dead, they had a funny way of coming back unexpectedly these days. “Well, I knew Dante, if that’s what you mean. He used to babysit me when I was a kid.” I pulled the memory from Brando’s mind, having to keep up the ruse of being mortal as I looked back at her and offered a smile in hopes of disarming her. Not that my smile was something to write home about, and, based on the expression that passed over her face when I did it, she wasn’t a fan.
“You don’t look young enough.” She was trying to insult me again, but I wasn’t sure why. She seemed to take personal offense to the fact I was here, or because I was a friend of Dante’s.
“Babysitters, by nature, don’t tend to be that much older than their charges.”
“So, you knew the guy that killed my brother. Whoopie. Why are you talking to me?”
“Did he kill your brother?” I asked, arching an eyebrow.

Grab it now while on sale for the preorder - the price rises on release day!

That's it for me, back to the writing cave. Have a great week, love.
