Happy Tuesday!

Can we believe that February is almost over? Wasn't it Christmas yesterday? I'm already planning Ostara for my kids and Little Man insisted we decorate the house so we've puked spring all over the house. I'm going to blink and it'll be summer, not that I'm complaining. We had an ice storm last week so I am o.v.e.r. winter. Not that I was ever under it anyway ... Not a fan. You?

The only good thing about winter is the fact that it's socially acceptable to lock yourself away in the house, which would make writing easier if not for seasonal depression. HA!

Speaking of mental health stuff, have you read Claiming the Captain yet? Our wounded hero has invisible scars of the mental kind, and readers have been messaging me for the last two weeks to tell me how pleased they were with my representation of mental health. They say to write what you know ... you know? šŸ˜‰

image When my college roommate tries to fix me up with her creepy cousin, I do the only thing I can think of to waylay her unwanted matchmakingā€“I invent a boyfriend in the Navy. Every week for four years, I send a letter to my fictitious soulmate, Officer Elijah Oā€™Donnell, sharing my innermost thoughts and dreams for the future.

Which is why no one is more surprised than me when my military hero appears at my place of work and asks me for a date.

I spent the last week hashing out the final details of my release schedule for 2023 and began to get some preorders loaded for you. I have another Monster Between the Sheets book coming out in May, this time featuring a cyclops headmaster. This will be a childhood best friend, workplace romance based on the song My Eyes Adored You by Franki Valli. I'm not supposed to talk about it yet, but you can preorder now ... I'm also bringing you a fairy tale retelling in October with a monster hunter and his monster stepsister ... Family stuff is always complicated ;) If you loved Hansel and Gretel, you're going to love Gretel's Hostile Hunter with all the ooey gooey enemies to lovers vibes with a delicious forbidden/taboo twist.

And if you can't wait for any of that, I also have Naga Say Never with over 6k more content than its earlier release!!! Be sure to ask Amazon to push an update for you if you haven't received it already. If you read it on KU previously, please consider purchasing it this time, as I only get paid for your first readthrough per Amazon's terms. šŸ˜ž

Humiliation is my middle name. After leaving all I know and love behind to start life fresh and unembarrassed in a tiny back-water town, Iā€™ve come to the realization that I canā€™t escape embarrassing situations no matter how hard I try. They follow me around.

And sometimes they even look right in my window.

My first day here? I got caught with one hand on my book and the otherā€¦erā€¦ busy downstairs.

I donā€™t know about you, but a loud ā€˜Baaaaaaā€™ just before you finish kills the heat toot sweet.

But thatā€™s not where this embarrassing moment ends. Because with that peeping-Tom sheep was a rather delicious looking farmer. A farmer who is now visiting me every day asking to borrow a new romance book.

This could turn into something special...

As with all Megan Wade books, this Whisper Valley romance comes with her Sugar Promise. High heat, low drama, guaranteed.
