As promised...

In last month's newsletter I requested ghost stories from you, my beloved friends. A huge shoutout of THANKS to everyone who sent in their own personal tales of the paranormal for me to share with you all.

First, I want to address something that came up thematically in your stories. Not just a lack of belief by those family and friends who were told about your ghostly experiences, but those same family and friends demanding you keep your mouth shut and never to bring it up again, especially if your experiences were when you were a child. Let me say, I am sorry you went through this without the proper support. It is all too familiar. Matter of fact, it's so familiar the theme was worked into my current work in progress (WIP) as the protagonist deals with her own childhood trauma from the same circumstances as a midlife adult. But there will be plenty of time to bring you more news of that story and it is not the purpose of my email to you today.

Please enjoy this spooky GHOST STORY from a readers and share your own by replying to this email. You may find your story in future newsletters.

From Susan:

Hi! I had several paranormal experiences.  The first was when I was 6 years old so old enough to know what was going on around me. I've had insomnia all my life, even as a child. I would wake up at all hours and not be able to go back to sleep. One such time I woke up, probably around 3 am since that happens constantly to me. I wasn't allowed to get out of bed so I called for my mom. I wanted her company until I fell back asleep. I called out several times to her but she didn't hear me. My bedroom was at the end of the hall, so I could see up the hallway and partially into the living room. After calling out to my mom several times to no avail, I saw a woman that I didn't recognize coming down the hallway. As she was coming towards me, I notice that I could not see her feet and she was floating a few inches off the floor. She was all white and flowing. Her dress was floor length, she had what looked like an apron on over the dress. Anyway, she came down the hallway into my room, came right up to me. She told me hello and asked me what was wrong. I told her I couldn't sleep and I wanted my mom to stay with me. She replied, "Honey, your mom is asleep. She's tired and you shouldn't wake her." I replied again that I wanted my mom to stay with me until I fell asleep. The lady said "I'll stay with you until you fall asleep". I asked her if she could lay down with me and she said she couldn't do that but if I moved my head she could lay her head on my pillow with me. So I moved over and she bent over and put her head on my pillow. I just looked at her for a few minutes wondering why she was all white so I asked her. Her reply was that was just the way she was. Then she told me to close my eyes which I did. She started talking to me, asked me what was my favorite cartoon and why. I fell asleep talking to her but woke a short time later. She was gone.

The next morning I told my mom but she said nothing. Later that morning I was going to the basement when my dad stopped me in the kitchen and told me that mom told him what I said about the white lady and he asked me if that was true. I told him yes. Then he told me that I was never ever allowed to say anything to anyone about that and that if he heard me talk about it again I was going to be in trouble. So I never said anything about it again until after my father passed.
